First look at the Rurouni Kenshin: Saisen trailer for PSP

Remember wayyyy back in November when I first told all of you about the new Ruroni Kenshin: Saisen game for the PSP? Finally we get to see a trailer from the Jump Festa event! This game seems to be a pretty standard fighter that's definitely going for a "hand drawn" look with thick black lines surrounding each character. I know other games have taken this approach and done it better, but then again, I'm thinking of recent Dragonball Z games on the PS3. I suppose for PSP graphics, they're really not that bad.

I can't really tell if it's just a result of the video, but at times it looks like the frame rate of the game suffers from a lot of slow down, which I definitely don't like. There also seem to be plenty of anime style cutscenes. I suppose the make-or-break point for this game will just be how big a fan you are. I don't really foresee anyone who isn't a hardcore fan picking up this game, but for those who are, it might just be what you're looking for.

Apparently the trailer promises a new animated opening for the game and a bunch of characters from the Kyoto arc, including Enishi. The amount of characters in the game also seems pretty impressive, with lots of heroes and villains to go around.

Hit the jump to check out the trailer for yourself and let me know what you think. I'm kind of on the fence about it myself. I'm not sure if I'd really buy it. Would you?
