FLCL releases on iTunes, sure to confuse the masses

FLCLJapanator's #1 anime of the past decade, is finally getting rereleased courtesy of FUNimation. It's coming out on DVD and Blu-ray on February 22, keeping the wonderful Sync-Point dub and with claims of an improved HD transfer. But what if you just can't wait that long?

If you've just hit your breaking point, you're in luck, because FUNimation just put FLCL on iTunes for $9.95 SD or $14.95 HD. Hell, they're even giving away the first episode for free, just to give you a taste. Like a drug dealer. When talking about FLCL, this is a very relevant metaphor.

What I'm having fun imagining is some non-anime fan seeing a free episode available for download and deciding to check it out, perhaps having heard of this "Naruto thing" or something like that, then having their mind blown with the bizarre things they end up seeing in the first episode. I have a feeling FLCL won't be getting many downloads from people outside the fandom.

Will you be downloading it, or can you manage to wait about one month more? Me, I'm probably waiting a little while past even the Blu-ray release, since I managed to track down good copies of the original DVD releases only a few months before FUNimation announced they had acquired the license. I always have awesome timing on things like that.
