Garage Hero hits us with another fun April Fools' joke

0

Learning about more henshin heroes is always a plus

For this year's April Fools' Day, Bueno of the independent tokusatsu group, Garage Hero, teamed up with a few people to come up with a fun idea. Joining forces with tokusatsu blog Websites like Orends: Range and JEFusion, they came up with a joke news post about the Kamen Rider Build movie having a Rider called Kamen Rider Terra.

The concept of this Rider sounded neat since he was a surviving Martian who obtained his powers through the Pandora Box. His purpose in the film was to reclaim the item since he was its guardian. Accompanying the hero's cool look, his belt allows him to change into Jaguar, Eagle, Raven and Bahamut Form. Of course, the whole thing sounded too good to be true.

In reality, the idea was Bueno wanting to make a joke where he takes the hero from the tokusatsu project, Mamoru Heroes, and gives it a gimmick. He chose to use the belts from the Chinese series known as Armor Hero Captor, the fourth show in the Armor Hero franchise. UkiyaSeed of Orends: Range came up with Kamen Rider Terra's backstory, with Bueno providing his input.

While the joke was obvious, I love how it informed people about other tokusatsu properties. Since his motives have intrigued me, Bueno future pranks have the potential to give off interesting results. Even if people figure it out again, it won't change the fact that they'll be talking about the topic that's connected to its subject. Thus, resulting in more viewers checking out these titles.

While we're on the topic of other products, Garage Hero's Gun Caliber film is now on Amazon Prime. In other words, the team's first release can now be found on another platform.

With the film being available in more places, more people can view Bueno's R-rated tokusatsu film that's a comedic take on his experiences with living in Canada and Japan. As always, returning to the movie is a wonderful way to see how the team started off. It's also a great way to prepare for its sequel, Strega.
