Garage Hero's Strega continues to look like a bloody good time

Way better than Shankar's Power/Rangers

When Garage Hero first revealed Gun Caliber's sequel, Strega, I was on board with seeing Soma Kusanagi's story continue. As the team continues to work hard on the film, we're treated to a trailer where the main "heroes" lay waste to their targets.

One of the things I love about the team is how their action and campy tone continue to feel exciting. No matter how many times I see someone gets beat to a bloody pulp, it always comes off as something that brings joy to its viewers. In fact, the crew's trailer continues to show off their great talent in creating entertaining toku productions.

Every time I see Bueno and his crew work on an R-rated hero project, I always think about how their stuff captures the spirit of tokusatsu better than Adi Shankar's Power/Rangers short, a fan piece that failed to do justice to the original series and its genre.

While we're on the topic of independent works, the team is taking Strega to Indiegogo to help obtain funds so they can deliver the finishing blow to the project. The campaign goes up on Aug. 25, which means that they have a good amount of time to get us pumped. While the campaign won't affect the movie's fate, it could help Garage Hero gain their ideal budget sooner than expected. Last but not least, I'd like to wish them the best with achieving their goals.
