Get drunk with Coca-Cola Japan's upcoming alcoholic drinks

Will it taste better than Cuba Libre?

I may not be big on Coke, but I enjoy mixing it with rum and a bit of lemon. While we're on the topic of mixing booze with soda, Coca-Cola's Japan branch is planning to release an alcoholic beverage in the region. Interestingly, it's their first one in the country.

While they dabbled in wine business during the '70s, it's interesting that they're going back to this format in a different area. Their beverage is going to be a Chu-Hi, a Japanese alcoholic drink that uses carbonated water in the mix, so we can expect a neat take on this product.

Right now, the thing that comes to my mind is alcoholic variants of Coca-Cola's various sodas. Heck, I wouldn't mind an alcoholic version of Coke that's different from Cuba Liber (Coke with rum), along with one based on Sprite. Who knows, I might get to try this canned booze when I visit Japan for the first time one day. Until then, we'll have to wait until they reveal more information on these drinks.
