Grisaia: Phantom Trigger anime Kickstarter adds an English dub stretch goal


Episodes 1 and 2 coming out in 2018!

Around two months ago, Tokyo-based Visual Novel developer Frontwing has announced an anime adaptation for their visual novel series Grisaia: Phantom Trigger. Today they have introduced an English dub stretch goal, which will happen if the campaign reaches $120,000 or 700 backers before Monday, September 3rd, which is when the campaign closes. They promise that it will come on-disc if it reaches either goal if not, they expect it to reach during the BackerKit phase. 

The anime adaptation is being directed by TENSHO, also known as Motoki Tanaka. He as also the director of the original Grisaia trilogy anime adaptations as well as other titles including Kin-iro Mosaic and Rewrite. Additionally, Akio Watanabe of Monogatari series and Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is in charge of character design as chief animation director. Bibury Animation Studios is in charge of general production. Check out the first official PV below, which features a short version of the anime's theme song, sung by Kurosaki Maon, which evokes the tone and mood of the series. 

The first two episodes will premiere later this year, Backers that pledge $30 will get digital copies in which they will need Steam accounts to redeem their codes. Additionally, it has been confirmed that the Blu-ray sets, both standard and deluxe, offered in this campaign will be region-free.
