Gundam UC gets extended, going to 7 volumes

It's time to rejoice, Gundam-lovers, particularly those into the Universal Century, because your beloved UC is about to get a little bit of EX. That's short for "extra" in Japanese acronym parlance. Bandai has announced that Gundam Unicorn is not in fact a six-volume series, but a seven-volume series, the seventh and last of which will be released...sometime in the future, presumably after the sixth actually comes out in the spring of 2013. Yay!

No announcements have been made yet for the English-speaking market, but considering that Bandai Entertainment has more or less bowed out of the market, it'll likely be up to third-parties like FUNimation et al to pick up the series, unless the company has committed to bringing the whole series across.
