Haagen-Dazs release limited flavors Sakura and Rose

A flower for my sweets

For the 30th anniversary of Haagen-Dazs, they will be releasing two limited edition flavors Sakura and Rose. Each of these flavors will have actual sakura petals and rose petals mixed in with the ice cream. Don't worry though, the ice cream itself is not going to taste like flowers.

The Sakura edition is a cherry ice cream with a bit of sourness to it. Along with that, it will have sakura petals added in for fragrance. A true taste and smell of spring.

The Rose edition is a strawberry base ice cream with a plum accent for depth and acidity. It too will have bits of damask rose in it for fragrance and color.

Both limited edition ice creams will be available in Japan on February 3rd for 284 ($3US) each. If I was over there, I would pick these up in a heart beat to try them out. They sound heavenly. Maybe we can get our own Kristina to pick some up at the corner store to try out for us. I'm sure she might do it if we all ask nicely.
