Here are some of the Persona 2 remake's changes

When Atlus ported the original Persona game to the PlayStation Portable, they had a mind to exploi- I mean, introduce fans raised on Persona 3 and Persona 4 to the series as a whole. And while the original Persona was quite different from its descendants, enough people took to  it that a port of the Persona 2: Innocent Sin was justified. And this time, according to director/composer Shoji Meguro, more changes and improvements are on the way.

Besides the spiffy new intro and soundtrack, the battle system will be tweaked to match the changes added with the release of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment (the one half of Persona 2 English-speakers actually received), as well as the speed optimizations added to the original's PSP port. There will be more visual upgrades, as well, at least with regards to the menus and UI, and Kazuma Kaneko's original character designs will be receiving a bit of a facelift courtesy of current series standby Shigenori Soejima.

According to Meguro, this new stuff's thanks to the first port's high sales, and that this time they're going to target old-school fans already familiar with the PS One releases.

Hm. If Innocent Sin PSP does well, do you think they'll add even more improvements to Eternal Punishment PSP? I guess we'll have to buy it and see.

In the meantime, check out the sweet intro below!
