Here's two US TV spots for The Wind Rises

0

Watch them, I guess?

Here are the two latest TV spots from Touchstone Pictures, advertising The Wind Rises. They're definitely playing up the whole "Hayao Miyazaki's last film" angle, especially with awards just around the corner. While I'm not sure if it'll work, I am glad that it's being advertised on TV at all. The film has a limited opening February 21st, and a wide opening February 28th. However, I can't seem to find any of my local theaters listing it yet. That's disappointing!

They're not bad TV spots. I hope they grab people's attention, because I'd love to see The Wind Rises to well here. Sadly, it'll probably end up doing similar numbers to previous Ghibli films -- which is, essentially, "ok." I'll definitely be one of the people watching it, though, doing my part!

Will you be seeing The Wind Rises in theaters?
