Hidden batch of risque Tezuka art released by his daughter

Drawings include a sexy mouse lady, snake transformation, and more.

Want to take a walk on the weird side? Osamu Tezuka, the god of manga, drew a lot of risque and taboo things in his lifetime. He tackled a variety of subjects (sexuality, politics, etc) that at the time pushed the boundaries (and he did it well), so this next bit of news shouldn't be too surprising to most people. Tezuka's daughter, Rumiko, unearthed a locked box of illustrations and other notes kept by her father. She finally got it open and decided to share it with the world.

Inside was: a letter regarding Katushiro Otomo (Akira), a half-eaten piece of chocolate, and a collection of sketches done by Tezuka. These featured art of Melmo (from Marvelous Melmo), a batch of sexy mouse character drawings, and a lady transforming into a snake. When asked what they were for, Rumiko simply tweeted "I've got no idea." Some people might be a little weirded out by a mouse-lady with voluptuous breasts, but I'm just fascinated by a locked box of hidden Tezuka art. I can't believe it went unopened for so long! Are there any more of those laying around, Rumiko?

Just another little peak into Tezuka's work!
