Indivisible closes extended crowd funding campaign

0

And the final total is.......

First a brief history lesson.

Back in October Indivisible's crowdfunding campaign was launched. With a team that had produced the decade's best indie fighting game and a solid prototype ready on day one for PC players, I was certain this was going to be another rapidly funded campaign. After controversy and controversy of behind crowdfunding successes Mighty no. 9 and Broken Age, many gamers and supporters were skeptical behind the one and a half million dollars crowdfunding request. Despite being extremely transparent about their spending just like they were with the Skullgirls DLC, the monetary support could not outpace the deadline causing Indivisible to enter an extended backing period with <50% funded. The campaign closed late last night.

And they are 124% funded as of writing!

Yep, they somehow pulled it off within the last three days of the campaign, reaching not only their target but their first stretch goal for more music by Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana). If you missed out on the backer goodies or still want to donate then prepare your credit cards and pay pal as the campaign has now entered the slacker backer portion of funding. The devs are aiming for a steel book-plastic slipcase combo with manual for the physical release as a backer exclusive.

I'm psyched that their project was funded. Not only cause the game looks awesome and has a great team behind it but because if it wasn't then it could possibly mean the dissolution of Lab Zero games as a company. It felt like a do or die type campaign so it's a relief and a joy to see it prosper.

Time for you guys to get to work. The 2018 release date can't come fast enough!
