Insufficient Direction to get flash animation adaptation

Learn what it means to be the biggest otaku ever

Color this convenient: shortly after the English release of Moyoco Anno's Insufficient Direction, it's been announced that it's getting an anime adaptation. It won't be much -- 13 3-minute flash animations as a part of Animusu. The series will start on April 4th at midnight, Japanese time.

There isn't much in the way of cast, but we do know that Kouichi Yamadera (Spike in Cowboy Bebop) will play Director-kun and Megumi Hayashibara (Faye Valentine in Cowboy Bebop) will play Rompers.

If you're not familiar with the title, it's one about a famous anime director and manga artist dating and eventually getting married. Rompers, the manga artist, considers herself an otaku, but not on the same level as Director-kun. She's got a lot of learning to do if she ever wants to match up against her husband-to-be.

Be sure to check out our review of the original manga as well. Get yourself excited.
