It takes just one man to make a One Punch Man anime

0

Well, a prototype of one, anyway

If there's anything I've learned over the years of writing about the things I enjoy, it's that making those things - in this case, anime - is very hard work, often done by large numbers of very talented people. That makes the achievements of fans and others working on their own all the more amazing.

Case in point: This guy, Nico Nico Douga user Komori, who has - all on his own - been animating the opening sequence for a One Punch Man anime adaptation that, well, doesn't actually exist yet. And even in its current, rough state, it's pretty amazing for how "complete" it seems. Komori appears to have planned the entire sequence down to the frame, featuring key moments from the manga to highlight, along with some sweet action set to a deliciously appropriate theme, FLOW's "Hero".

All that's left to do this point filling in the gaps, which is still a Herculean task for a solo creator. Then again, that's kind of what One Punch Man is all about - working so hard at something until you become the best at it (hair loss optional). It really does put hope in me that a "real" One Punch Man anime might actually come into being, one with animation that can do justice to artist Yuusuke Murata's lavish work and the passion of its fans.

Check out the video below for another One Punch Man fan work that might even serve as a good ending theme for this as-yet nonexistent anime.
