J-list morphed into K-List for April Fools

0

Did you guys think that having the entire staff of Japanator be temporarily stuck in a parallel universe in which it's still the year 1997ish was bizarre? You should have seen the prank that what our friends over at J-List put together for April Fools. On Sunday, the popular retailer of Japanese snacks and otaku merch, dropped Pocky and anime-inspired apparel in favor of kimchi, K-dramas, and taekwondo sparring gear.

The best part of the prank was probably that the staff even took the time to replace their ads for J-list Friends and EMS express mail delivery with endorsements for fictional Korean equivalents of both services. They kicked it up a notch by also claiming that K-ON! and the Touhou Project franchise were actually created by South Korean artists.

Did you guys miss it? well, you're in luck; we managed to catch a few screenshots of it. Enjoy!
