J-Novel converts fantasy characters into otakus with Outbreak Company

The service is getting more cool stuff

For a good while, I've been meaning to check out the anime adaptations of Ichirou Sakaki's works, such as Outbreak Company and Chaika - The Coffin Princess. Right when I had the author on my mind, J-Novel released another one of his works on their service.

Since the Outbreak Company anime never received a sequel, people can now read the original light novel on J-Novel. When I heard about its premise being about a guy converting the people of a fantasy world into otakus, I was interested in seeing how it turned out. In fact, Naruhisa Arakawa's (Kamen Rider Kuuga and Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger's Writer) involvement with the adaptation's composition helped. That, and it contained a reference to the Super Sentai parody series, Akibaranger.

J-Novel released the first four parts of Outbreak Company's first volume, which can be read here. Since they give people a free sample, it serves as a great way for people to see if the service is for them.
