J-Stars Victory VS gets more characters and release date

A whole lot of sexy

As a fan of Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars, any news about the upcoming J-Stars Victory VS makes me salivate. Well, I better get a napkin, because we've got some new info. According to Gematsu, the latest issue of Jump reveals that J-Stars comes out on March 13 in Japan for ¥7,980 on the Playstation 3 and ¥6,980 for the Playstation Vita. Special editions will be available for both consoles at ¥10,980 and ¥9,980 respectively.

Not content with a release date, Jump also revealed several new characters that will be appearing in J-Stars. Boa Hancock (One Piece) will be a playable character and is joined by assist characters Chitoge Kirisaki (Nisekoi), Lala Satarin Deviluke (To-Love-ru) and Rukia Kuchiki (Bleach).

Based off of Elliot's TGS coverage, I'm pretty excited for this game. If it controls like Gundam VS, then I know I'll enjoy it. Now all I need are more character announcements. I'm not expecting a crazy huge roster, ala Jump Ultimate Stars, but I'd like for there to be a large number of people I could choose from. Then again, this is being designed by Namco-Bandai, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a large of amount of DLC characters down the line.
