Japan's King of Hosts pulls in $30,000 a month

Vice Japan looks inside the world of host clubs

Ever wonder what it's like being on top of the world as a host? Naoki of "Club Fantasy" is just that: selected as Japan's #1 host in 2011, Naoki has it all. He's currently managing the host club, acting as frontman for musical group Never Fade, and has a weekly show he's on.

Vice Japan took a look inside of the crazy world of hosting through Naoki's eyes. The video follows him through the hosting experience, what it's like to train some of the guys, and meeting the clientele that frequents the club.

This is a far cry from The Great Happiness Space, which took a much more nuanced approach to the subject. If you've ever watched Vice's productions, they veer towards the shocking -- but it's never bombastic. This is a great look into the more surprising side of host clubs.
