Japanator Link Love: Hamburgers in Tokyo

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Tokyo has the best hamburgers. I think they do it better than we do. They still don't have the french fries (or the fry portions) down yet, but everything from fast food to "American-style" offerings in Tokyo have impressed me.

The problem is that I feel like I'm missing burgers. Tokyo is a big city. I've made note of great burgers I've come across in my travels, but those all happened by chance, and I'd like some way to kind of know what I'm looking for before I go again.

The blog Hamburgers in Tokyo sets out to let readers know where the best ones are. There's only about ten entries now, but they're all delicious reads, complete with full details and mouth-watering burger photos. Unless you're anti-meat, you cannot look at this page and not be hungry. Of all of them so far, The Great Burger looks to be the best. The close-up of the Gorgonzola Burger (pictured above) kills me. I will go to this place and eat that sandwich. Mark my words.

Thanks so much, Hamburgers in Tokyo. We appreciate the work you do!

For the record, one of the best burgers I've had was in Akibaichi, Akiba's multi-floor food court. A burger cafe on one of the upper floors had a sandwich that I've still found no equal to. The beef was delicious, the bun nice and toasty, and the overall flavor was out of this world. If you're ever in town, check it out.
