Japanese Twitter user reveals the truth behind Thomas the Tank Engine

I'm hollering.

Let's end your week right: with a creepy drawing of Thomas the Tank Engine! Japanese Twitter user Yui apparently took some photos of an old notebook of hers, in which she drew several illustrations of Thomas. I imagine it was probably her young mind trying to figure out how exactly such a realistic face fit into a train like that.

I used to watch Thomas the Tank Engine when I was a kid, but I don't think I ever questioned the 'emotive faces attached to cartoon trains' part. Then again, I thought lightsabers were real for a short time when I was a child, too. My imagination was too strong for this oppressive world!

"I wonder what I was going through at the time I drew these," she wrote. I wonder too, Yui.

(So, do I tag this post as Thomas the Tank Engine, even if we're never going to use such a tag ever again? Eh. I am tagging it as art, though.)
