JX: Viz reveals their newest manga plans

Nana fans are given hope.

I don't know about you, but it looks like Viz has shifted into a manga overdrive with their latest announcements from Shojo Beat and Shonen Jump. On the digital side of things, Skip BeatW JulietSugar Princess, and Basara will be joining VIZMANGA's lineup of titles. As for the print side of things, High School Debut will be getting the three in one omnibus treatment on February of 2014, and they have plans to include some new stories in this special release that were never able to cross the pond in the past!

Of course that isn't the only print title that's coming out, since Phantom Thief Jeanne will be packed into a five volume release for March 2014. On top of that, Arina Tamemura, the creator of Jeanne, will be including some new art in these new releases as well. The readers looking for something darker won't have to worry about being left out, because Tomu Ohmi's (Midnight Desire) new story known as Spell of Desire will be coming out on August 2014.

To all of you Nana fans in the house, Viz will be ready to continue with their release of the manga when Ai Yazawa is ready to create more chapters! Last but not least, the print version of From Far Away will be reprinted, though it will take them a bit longer than expected. However, the option to own the series digitally is now possible

While Shonen Jump's announcements were rather small, One Piece Strong World Chapter 0 will appear in the August 2013 edition of Weekly Shonen Jump. And finally, you can strike your most fabulous pose, because Viz is taking a Stand by planning a digital release for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, aka the Stardust Crusaders part of the series.

Now that we're done with the wave of announcements, I'm happy to hear that the Nana fans are going to get a nice treatment when the time comes. Seeing Jeanne make her return is sounds great, due to the idea of having a magical girl that people see as a thief -- despite her efforts to protect everyone. All in all, it's going to be an interesting year for Viz's mangas when 2014 shows up, and I will wish Yazawa the best in achieving the right condition to continue with her series.
