JX: Yen Press gets SAO, Accel World, and more

0

Yen Press is on a roll!

Well what do you know, Yen Press has pulled an interesting wild card at the first Japan Expo USA, and it's another beacon of hope for people that wish to see more light novels in North America! To those that have been wishing to own the physical version of Reki Kawahara's works, Yen Press will be releasing the original light novels for Sword Art Online and Accel World

If that's not enough Sword Art for you, they're also bringing over the Sword Art Online mangas known as Sword Art Online: Aincard and Sword Art Online: Fairy Dance, which is leading to an overdose of Sword Art. Besides the Sword Art stuff, Yen's making a contract with Kyubey to localize Madoka Magica: The Different Story, which is an alternate take on the series where Kyoko and Mami are the main characters. And to those who are enjoying Blood Lad, Yen will be releasing the its spinoff Blood Brat on March 25th, 2014.

As for the other release dates, the SAO mangas will be coming out in March of next year, and the Madoka one should be arriving to North American shores during the early part of 2014.

Even though I've only caught a few episodes of Sword Art on Toonami, it's good to see the source material will be available in North America, along with Accel World. The nice part is that people that can't afford Aniplex's release of SAO will have the novels to look forward to.
