K-On's Mio Akiyama prototype figure slaps my strings hard, and I like it

[As originally posted on Tomopop]

K-On! has been all the rage here. I blame Dale for this, mostly. I can't help but get involved in the whole thing, though. In writing over at Tomopop, we've covered the K-On! Nendoroids in the works, along with these Takara Tomy bits, but nothing that really got my gears going. Things are about to change, though.

Eltworld caught word of an upcoming Mio Akiyama prototype off of 2chan. Right now there's no word as to whether this is a a custom or whether it's the 1/8 figure that they've been talking about on the K-On! blog, but either way, there's been plenty of speculation from the folks at 2ch as to just who might be making the figure. It makes a big difference in how the final figure looks, after all -- color quality, durability, and the like.

I can't help but guess that Wave is the one behind the figure, mainly because it reminds me of their figure of Elyse from My Balls. Sure, it's not the most family-friendly figure to pop into my head, but it's one of those manga that will leave you scratching your head, so I couldn't help it. Any of your Japanator readers have a guess as to who will be making it? We'll likely find out the answer at WonFes next month, so may as well see if your powers of prediction are accurate!
