Kimi no Iru Machi getting an anime adaptation

Awww, it's all grown up!

The Akiba reports that Kimi no Iru Machi, a manga/story by the same creator of Suzuka, which has only had a couple of OVAs will now be adapted until a full-on show. There aren't really any details further than that, though. We're not sure whether it'll run through one season or several, for example, or how much of the story they'll even cover. My hope is that they'll just take things slow.

While I was a fan of the manga for a little while, I'm not sure this kind of thing appeals to me any more. Romantic shows are just so frustrating! But, if you're a fan of Suzuka (which I read from beginning to end, by the way!) you're probably going to love this one, too. Though there's plenty of material to work from, the manga is still actually on-going, so there is probably a bit of a worry that maybe the anime would rush things a little, or make up some random ending.

The basic story in Kimi no Iru Machi is, a girl from the big city (Eba) decides to go to school in the countryside, and shacks up in Haruto's home with his family. They don't really have an intense love/hate or combative relationship (not at the beginning, anyway...), but the living situation does make things fun and interesting. That is, until she randomly decides, just as she blew into Haruto's life, to take off again, and so on, and so forth. Woo, drama!

That's all we've got, for now. You can check out the anime's new spiffy website which is, unfortunately, still under construction. We'll be sure to keep an eye on future updates.
