Last Showdown: Endless Frontier's Haken Browning joins Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers' cast

Best Flush!

Wow. I feel ashamed of myself for almost missing out on this piece of news since I was too busy with being excited over Super Robot Wars V hitting Asia in English next year. The reason behind me feeling bad is that this SRW-related update has to do with Haken Browning, a character that I adore deeply, becoming part of Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers' main roster.

The cool part about Haken being in the game is that he's piloting the Gespenst Phantom, a machine that was once a small robot in the Endless Frontier titles. To top it off, the machine wields his signature gun that's capable of doing multiple things at once, such as being a machine gun that's equipped with a stake and a sword. Combined with the Phantom's Gespenst Kick and other abilities, it looks like the guy might become even more ridiculous than he was in his previous games.

Since Haken's the kind of character who didn't let the truth behind his past get to him, I could see him spicing up the conversations between the game's cast. Hell, I can't wait to see how Axel reacts to his appearance in the OG universe, as the two of them joined forces in Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier Exceed. Come to think of it, I wonder if this is a sign that we'll get Suzuka and/or the other characters from the Endless Frontier titles that have robot partners.

Other than that, the latest trailer for The Moon Dwellers shows off more of the new characters' machines, along with the return of the likes of Sanger, Elzam/Ratsel, Rai, Kusuha, Arado, Seolla and more. Judging from this content, it looks like we're in for a solid title before 3rd Super Robot Wars OG becomes a thing one day.

With The Moon Dwellers hitting Asia this summer for the PS4, I'm looking forward to owning its English release even more. Based on the trailer's content, it looks like there's a mode that gives players a recap of the events that happened in the previous Super Robot Wars OG titles. I guess this is part of the team's plan to make this title friendly to newcomers.

As another reminder, if you're planning on getting the Japanese release instead, the game hits the region on June 30 for the PS4 and PS3.
