License GET: Siren gets Black Rock Shooter for Australia

0

When it comes to getting foreign entertainments to its shores, Australians often complain that they get the shaft. Games get delayed (or even banned), and importing localized anime can cost a pretty penny to get across the Pacific.

And while that might remain the status quo for most of the industry, it won't be for at least one IP: Black Rock Shooter. Siren Visual has just announced that they have acquired the BRS license for a region 4 release this September. Rejoice!

They didn't indicate just which Black Rock Shooter property they picked up specifically, though I think I'd put the chances at closer to a release of this winter's amazing-looking TV series, rather than the 2010 OVA. I bet it'd look great on Blu-ray.
