Licensing GET! Aniplex recruits Samurai Flamenco

Aniplex is ready to dance with the samurais!

Well, there's goes another show that will get the Aniplex treatment. This time around, they have gotten a hold of Samurai Flamenco, an original noitaminA anime series that's directed by Takahiro Omori (Director for Durarara!! and Baccano!). While the series has been very mysterious with its premise, there's a huge chance that the series will bring us a new take on the concept of costumed heroes that fight evil. On the other hand, the series could be about a group of samurai superheroes that take their enemies down with a fighting style that's based off of the Flamenco dance.

Judging from the image at Aniplex's page for the show, there's a chance that there will be some good old fashion aerial combat with actual jets. Depending on how they want to handle the show, the jets might combine into a giant robot!

For now, most of my rambling is random speculation, so we'll have wait a bit more before the actual premise is revealed. In the mean time, you can check out the press release below. Before I forget, Aniplex will be simulcasting the series in October, which means that everyone will get to figure out the mystery behind Samurai Flamenco
