Licensing GET: Maiden Japan rescues Ruin Explorers

Uncover ruins! Also 90's nostalgia

Wow, now this is a blast from the past. The nostalgia-and-niche rescue experts at Maiden Japan have just announced their licensing of Ruin Explorers, the beloved 1995 OVA series starring two chicks with spiky hair and HUGE eyes in the style of the decade.

OK, I never watched it myself, but I know a few folks who have the four-episode saga of Fam and Ihrlie on their favorites-of-all-time lists (right up there with Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star), and come July 2, when Maiden and Section23 release the thing to digital and Bilingual DVD, I may finally get the chance to see what the fuss was about.

How about you? Did you love Ruin Explorers back in the day?
