Licensing GET: Seven Seas nabs a manga about a Magical Girl Delinquent

No one is safe from her wrath

I love it when a story changes things up through having a lead that's different from the genre's usual character archetypes. Speaking of subverting usual things, Seven Seas is bringing the manga Oops! I Messed Up and Made the Wrong Person Into a Magical Girl! to North America. Obviously, the product's name speaks for itself.

Despite it having a long light novel-like title, I love that it's about a magical creature who accidentally turns a delinquent into a magical girl. The kicker is that it assumed that her cute appearance meant that she was an innocent person. While it sounds like it might be a gritty series, the manga is a parody of the genre so we can expect it to drive certain themes into the ground.

The manga's first volume hits North America on Oct. 9, which is a bit of a lengthy wait. Of course, I'm excited to see how the heroine's action will affect the city since she doesn't care about the bystanders who appear during her battles.
