Live in Los Angeles? Q Pop is hosting a Mushroom Kingdom Tribute Art Show

0

A.k.a. Mario Paint Live

I may not be a big Mario fan like I used to be, but I still enjoy playing his games when they grab my attention. Nonetheless, my love for Yoshi and the Mushroom Kingdom's other inhabitants remains unchanged since they helped bring an extra layer of life to the plumber's world. In light of the Mario series' impact on gaming, the folks at Q Pop are having an art show called "Kinoku Okoku" (Mushroom Kingdom) to commemorate Nintendo's beloved franchise.

The event opens this Saturday at the Q2 Gallery in Los Angeles from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and the art will remain at the place until July 12. In the meantime, you can take a look at the list of artist who're participating at the show below. As a quick preview of what's to come, Alina Chau, Anoosha Syed, Candie Bolton, Henry-John de Leon, Keiko Murayama, and Leegan's works can be found after the jump as well.

While I won't get to attend the show, I still admire Q Pop's creativity in picking out their themes for their art shows. Who knows, I might get to experience one of their galleries in the future since Los Angeles is on my list of places to visit one day.
