Live in Los Angeles? Q Pop's holding a Tatsunoko Tribute Art Show

There's something wonderful about seeing a place hold an art show to commemorate the greatness of certain things. Whether it's a beloved franchise or a show that many folks grew up with, the best thing about these events is seeing the artists' takes on those existing properties.  While we're on the topic of art galleries, the folks at Q Pop are hosting a Tatsunoko Tribute festivity in the form of Sea Dragon Brothers: Tatsunoko Pro Tribute Art Show.

Aside from featuring various works dedicated to Tatsunoko's titles, Q Pop's event'll also cover the anime projects that they assisted other studios with, such as Evangelion and Macross. Overall, I have to give the team some mad props for allowing the participating artists to make pieces based off the animation company's stuff that weren't their original creations. At the same time, it'll help educate the event's attendees on the pieces that they've worked on when they weren't doing their own productions.

The Tatsunoko Pro Tribute Art Show opens on May 30 and it'll last until June 21, which gives many people the chance to see the different art pieces at the event. In the meantime, you can check out some preview pieces by Phillip Light and Emily Warren in the gallery after the jump. Also, I've left the place's location and list of participating artist below as well.
