Mai Mai Miracle gets funded in a day, dub possible

Stretch goals detailed

All the Anime's Kickstarter for Sunao Katabuchi's Mai Mai Miracle is funded! The Kickstarter was approved some time yesterday morning Eastern time and it has reached funding early morning today.

The 2009 Madhouse film from director Sunao Katabuchi is definitely one that adults will get the most out of, despite being through-and-through baked as a children's animation. There are other difficulties in marketing the work, which brings this lovely movie to Kickstarter. It's totally worth it though!

In its first update, All the Anime has listed that the dub will be its first stretch goal, at about $60,000. Another goal would be making the $25 digital rewards available to every higher backer level once the project has at least 1000 backers. It's also important to know that there are plans to sell Mai Mai Miracle via retail at a later point, with the Kickstarter backers getting a special release you can't otherwise obtain. Given all of this happened in the first day of the Kickstarter, I am sure more details will be available soon given time to work them out between AtA and the movie's creators.
