McDonald's 2014 Pokémon calendar is out soon

Because you just gotta see 'em every day

As another year winds down we naturally begin to think of one and only one thing. New Pokémon calendars! Right? Oh. Right. This is pretty much a thing that McDonald’s in Japan does every year but not so much in most other places. Sorry if I got your hopes up.

So if you did not know, for a mere three hundred and fifty yen you can get a twelve month calendar chock full of Pokémon pictures along with all your normal dates and holiday listings. It also says when Pokémon themed Happy Meal sets come (in Japan of course). I’m also fairly sure it tells you when “National Hamburger Day” is, although I could be misremembering.

The calendars always come with stickers and McDonald’s coupons, but this time is the first that (I can recall) the calendar is coming with a poster to help kids remember romaji, the Roman alphabet.

The Pokémon calendars go on sale November 1 in Japan and I will be there to keep my yearly tradition going strong.
