Mcdonald's Japan is getting funky

Eat that funky burger!

Continuing the American Vintage campaign, McDonald's Japan have revealed the next wave of sandwiches, which are released this week and represent the era of funk (the '80s). Behold: the American Funky BBQ beef and chicken burgers.

Both burgers feature a smokey BBQ sauce as a main point of the dish. The beef sandwich has two patties, bacon, pickles, cheddar cheese, and lettuce. The chicken version has just the one crispy chicken patty, but the rest of the fixings are the same.

Though both of these sandwiches look appetizing in the pictures, I'm personally not into BBQ sauce, so these aren't really calling my attention like the previous entries to this campaign (particularly the hot & groovy chicken sandwich). If you're a fan of that sort of flavor though, and happen to be in Japan sometime in the next month, then it's probably safe to recommend these burgers!

This marks the end of the American Vintage campaign (or rather, when these go away, it'll be over). I wonder what's coming next?
