New live action Rurouni Kenshin visual shows off Aoshi

Not bad at all

I quite liked the first live action Rurouni Kenshin film.

I think it did a strong job of covering the first two arcs while maintaining the look and feel of the original series. One of the bigger complaints about the film was the lack of Aoshi and his band of badasses, though I personally think it was a wise move to leave them out. The film was already quite packed, and a character like Aoshi deserves a big chunk of screen time.

The upcoming sequel films look to give him just that.

We have our first key visual for Aoshi, played by Yusuke Iseya, and it's not bad at all. We also get a look at Nenji Kashiwazaki as played by Min Tanaka. Both fine casting choices if you ask me.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how director Keishi Otomo handles the Kyoto arc.
