New Marvel Avengers OVA to be released March 25th

Madhouse will be producing this one too!

In this apartment the Marvel vs. DC debate is still waged on a weekly basis. My girlfriend believes that DC is the superior brand while I, on the other hand, feel that Marvel is better. Part of my evidence for this is that Marvel gets more anime adaptations. I mean, besides Batman when was the last time you saw a DC hero get a full fledged anime adaptation? And now it seems that I have even more evidence to cite as famed studio Madhouse has produced yet another Marvel anime adaptation... this time for the Avengers!

Getting a domestic release on March 25th, the new OVA will follow The Punisher and Black Widow as they are sent on a mission to stop stolen S.H.I.E.L.D. technology from being sold to the highest bidder by a evil criminal organization. A trailer can be seen below.

You'll remember that this is not the first time that Marvel and Madhouse has teamed up together to create anime. A couple of years ago Madhouse also produced the animation for a string of Marvel based anime which featured Blade, the X-Men, Iron Man and Wolverine in their own series which were met with mixed receptions. It will be interesting to see how audiences react to this newest release.
