New Nobuo Uematsu and SquareEnix tribute albums available

Today is a good day to be a fan of classic RPG music! As previously noted, Deutsche Grammophon and Decca are releaseing two new albums that pay hommage to the works of Nobuo Uematsu and various SquareEnix games.

Benyamin Nuss Plays Uematsu is an album of piano-based interpretations of the music from one of the most beloved masters of video game music, Nobuo Uematsu. Symphonic Fantasies is a fully orchestrated live performance that touches upon a number of SquareEnix's top franchises, including Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts and much more.

I've had a chance to give both of these a listen and I can say that they are a must-have for any fan of either the games, the music, or just pain old epic instrumental music. These aren't some bland, quick one-off cash ins. Each song of both albums is presented with obvious care and love for the original source material. They will give even the most devoted fans something new to enjoy.
