New York Times' top ten manga for 11/22/10

Welcome to the list-tastic New York Times' Bestseller list for manga! This week, we're looking at...nothing too exciting. Our new debuts are Inuyasha and Alice in the Country of Hearts -- old hat for longtime followers of the list. A number of steady titles are holding on, so it's nothing much new on our end.

1. Naruto Vol. 49 - Week 7
2. Black Butler Vol. 3 - Week 3
3. Bakuman Vol. 2 - Week 2
4. Negima! Vol. 28 - Week 3
5. D.Gray-Man Vol. 19 - Week 2
6. Hetalia Axis Powers Vol. 1 - Week 8
7. Alice in the Country of Hearts Vol. 5 - Week 1
8. Soul Eater Vol. 4 - Week 3
9. Inuyasha Vol. 54 - Week 1
10. Black Bird Vol. 6 - Week 6

I went with Hetalia art this week, because I wanted to talk a moment on the series: it looks like Tokyopop is using it as its flagship title for a new digital distro system. So far, it looks like the sales are sticking with the series, and I'm wondering if a combination of free offers in places like Comixology and fan word of mouth efforts will drive higher sales in the later volumes.

For those of you who are fans of this series, and well just about any other, how big of a brand evangelist are you? Do you shove volumes in the faces of your friends?
