New York Times' top ten manga for 2/4/12

With the new releases on the shelf, it's good to see some life flow back into the top ten list. This week, we saw shojo staple Black Butler claim the top spot, along with a number of other female-centric titles rounding out the top five. Let's take a look at the full list:

1. Black Butler Vol. 12 - Week 1
2. Soul Eater Vol. 12 - Week 1
3. A Bride's Story Vol. 4 - Week 1
4. Maximum Ride Vol. 6 - Week 7
5. Missions of Love Vol. 2 - Week 2
6. Naruto Vol. 59 - Week 12
7. Naruto Vol. 58 - Week 11
8. Bleach Vol. 54 - Week 4
9. Alice in the Country of Hearts: My Fanatic Rabbit Vol. 1 - Week 6
10. Loveless: 2-in-1 Vol. 2 - Week 2

I'm surprised Loveless is so low on the list, considering it's part of a sale Viz is running in Barnes & Noble stores. At that level, it might only be selling a thousand copies across several hundred stores. Guess the demand for boys' love isn't so strong these days.
