NIS grabs Genshiken 2nd Season and Hanasaku Iroha's movie

Double NIS License Extreme!

The summer anime season has just begun, and NIS America is ready to reveal their announcements for Anime Expo 2013! For their main order of business, they are happy to tell us that the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture and the Kissuiso hots springs inn are coming to North America! In other words, NIS has licensed Genshiken Second Season and Hanasaku Iroha: Home Sweet Home.

Between the two shows, Genshiken was a series that I've been interested in for quite a while, so it's nice to see that the newest series is going to get the sweet NIS treatment when they announce their plans for the release. Heck, I went through the experience of being in an anime club in high school and college. which means that I'm obligated to catch up with the anime -- shame on me.

Moving on, NIS has gotten a hold of two nice sequels, since I've heard that Jeff enjoyed the series when he covered it back in 2011. So to those who have kept up with the previous installments of both licenses, are you all excited for NIS's new licenses?
