NYCC 2013: Sentai licenses Beyond the Boundary

Well, that was quick.

With plenty of news filtering out of New York Comic Con today, Sentai Filmworks have announced they've acquired the license to distribute Beyond the Boundary for home video release. Our own Karen Mead is currently keeping up with the series' simulcast, so far seems to be enjoying it's "mix of humor and supernatural hi-jinks," as she puts it. On the other hand, if you're not a fan of the moe, you may want to steer clear.

The show, based on the light novel Kyōkai no Kanata, is scheduled for twelve episodes and is currently being streamed by several online outlets, such as Crunchyroll and Hulu. The home video release won't hit stores until sometime in 2014, by which time we'll all know whether or not it'll be worth picking up. At least the animation's pretty, right?
