Play Battle Princess Arcadias this June in NA and Europe

A Battle Princess' work is never done.

Some of you may have been following the NIS-developed Battle Princess Arcadia, a side scrolling action RPG for the PS3. We've been treated to a few screenshots and videos, but NISA just dropped the release date for the localization: June 17th in NA and June 18th in EU. It's a PSN exclusive, so no retail edition will be released in the NA or EU regions.

I haven't played this vein of game since Vanillaware's Odin's Sphere, but the fun art style and the ridiculous number of characters that can appear on screen looks like my kind of mayhem. You play as Princess Plume, fighting back monsters overrunning your kingdom by recruiting warriors against tons of enemies, including a number of giant bosses.

Personally, this game looks like it would be perfect for the PS Vita, where I find myself doing most of my console gaming these days. But hey, it'll give me a reason to come back to my PS3!
