Pokemon's Zoroark movie airing on Cartoon Network

Pokemon Black and White, the latest installment of the long-running franchise, is blowing up in Japan, and judging by import impressions, it's set to do just as well in the West once it arrives in Spring 2011. Before that day comes, however, you can get a sneak preview of some of the new batch of monsters on February 5, the day that Cartoon Network airs Zoroark: Master of Illusions.

This film features new Pokemon Zorua and Zoroark from Black and White, alongside the legendary beast trio and Celebi from Pokemon Gold and Silver. Supposedly, Zoroark is unleashing havoc on the town in the form of illusions, and Ash and company have to stop them. No characters from the new Pokemon: Best Wishes anime will appear, since this 13th -- 13th! -- Pokemon film technically counts as part of the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl set of the story.

Entei, Raikou, and Suicune are some of my favorite legendary Pokemon, so I'm kind of interested, but I'm more surprised that Cartoon Network is bothering to show some anime during the day, since they rarely bother anymore. I mean, yeah, it's Pokemon, and it's popular, but still, I wonder if this could lead to more anime films on the channel in the future.

Check out the trailer after the jump.
