Politician's tweet takes a turn for the moe - and strange


I love it when Twitter messes something up like this. You've got your average politician, Meg Whitman, running for governor of California. Your spokesperson, Sarah Pompei, was retweeting a video that would help promote her cause. Of course, when you leave one "r" off the end of the bit.ly address, strange things can happen.

So imagine her follower's surprise when they clicked the link and found not an endorsement by San Diego cops, but...well, hit the jump to see.

Yes, that's a cross-dressing guy pretending to be Mio playing "Fuwa Fuwa Time" from K-ON!! (And quite well, I might add. I wish I could play slap bass that smoothly.) Oops. Hopefully that doesn't cost her too many votes! I'm sure some Mio fans would probably be more interested in her campaign now.
