Yen Press picks up Kuroshitsuji for Yen+ one year anniversary

Leaked over at the Mania.com forums, and picked up by Kuriosity, it appears as though Yen Press has gone ahead and announced the license of Kuroshitsuji -- which will be called Black Butler here in the States -- as their next big acquisition. The title, about a demonic butler serving the head of a noble family, is well known for its anime done by A-1 Pictures in the fall of 2008. We'll see the first chapter in the August '09 issue of Yen+, probably coupled with some extra content about the manga. And we'll hear more from them at San Diego Comic Con, no doubt.

Coupled with this announcement is word that Yen+ is going to be offering subscriptions in six-month investments instead of full-year ones. The price will remain the same, though, so it seems like the move is one to allow people who can't manage to pay the full price all at once an opportunity to get uninterrupted service.

Now, expect Colette to be screaming with excitement, as she has done in the past for all things Kuroshitsuji -- too bad she's out at brunch right now, otherwise she would've gotten to fangirl over this as well.
