Dragonball x Blue Dragon trading figures to celebrate Weekly Jump's 40th anniversary

[As originally posted on Tomopop]

Back in the day, I used to be a giant nerd for the Dragonball series (when that was one of the very few anime shows on American TV), and when Blue Dragon was released last year I nearly lost my mind. I absolutely loved the game, which really surprised me since I'm sometimes overly critical of modern games.

For Weekly Jump's 40th anniversary, they are releasing several figure sets from the Dragonball universe. My favorite is the Dragonball/Blue Dragon trading figure set. The set includes multiple versions of the dragons from Dragonball as well as the Blue Dragon. My favorite of the 10 figures features Shu and Goku together giving the thumbs up.

You can nab yourself a box of these over at Hobby Search for about $27. Even though they're little trading figures, they look to be very well sculpted. There is also a set of keychains that has more of the human characters from both series with their respective shadows from Blue Dragon, and the Dragonball characters have dragons from the show. You can get the keychains at Hobby Search as well for about $20. Get these cuties and you can join in the celebration for the 40th anniversary as well!

I've been a fan of anime and the Japanese culture all together for as long as I can remember. I don't choose sides over subbed or dubbed anime, I just love to watch anything I can get my hands on... more + disclosures
