Raise your mugs: Monster Hunter X goes west as Monster Hunter Generations

Summer has gotten four times better

Let's face it, it was only a matter of time until Monster Hunter X would cross the pond. With Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate selling like hotcakes worldwide, my faith in seeing this game get localized for the west remained high.

During yesterday's Nintendo Direct, the latest installment in Capcom's hunting series is heading to North America and Europe as Monster Hunter Generations this summer. All in all, the new name suits the game's large roster of creatures from the main MonHun titles.

Seeing that I clocked in over 300 hours in Tri, 3 Ultimate and 4 Ultimate, Generation's new features (such as four Flagship Monsters, four hunting styles for all weapons and being able to play as the Meownsters Hunters) will keep my buddies and I entertained for a good while.

If that isn't enough, anyone who has a Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate save data will get extra goodies in Generations. In light of this news, 4U is on sale on the eShop for $19.99, which is running until the end of the day. To finish off this scrumptious delight, the games event that lets players obtain Marth's gear from Fire Emblem is going west as well.

On that note, is anyone looking forward to playing Generations soon?
