Rejoice: NIS America reveals Fate Ultimatum's release date and more

Next year's looking good for Nippon Ichi

As we're getting closer to the holidays, the folks at NIS America have announced that The Awakened Fate Ultimatum hits North America on March 17, 2015, with Europe getting their release on March 20, 2015. Since the game involves your character switching between an angelic and demonic form, people have the option to pre-order the title's Angelic or Devilish Limited Edition. However, if you want to obtain the art cards from both versions, then you'll have the choice to grab the Ultimate Fate Edition instead.

Next up, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance heads to North America and Europe in Fall 2015 for the PS4. While it isn't too surprising that we're getting the latest game in the series, it's still good to hear an official announcement to get us excited for its release. Aside from the usual over-the-top goodness that the series is famous for, I'm interested in seeing how they'll handle having 100 playable characters on screen. Also, the game's new Revenge System sounds intriguing, since it gives your characters a buff when they get mad at the enemies that attack your allies to death.

Last on the announcement agenda, Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy's, a dungeon crawler RPG by Demon Gaze's team, hitting North America and Europe in Spring 2015 for the Vita. Interestingly, the game takes place in a futuristic cyberpunk setting, which is an element that you don't come by in many dungeon crawler RPGs. If anything, this setting should bring us a neat take on the customization features and environments present in the game.

Since the year is about to be over, NIS America has ensured us that 2015'll be a great year for RPGs. With Disgaea 5 and Atlus' Persona 5 hitting the PS4 in the same year, this might be a sign that I need to purchase the console before 2016 arrives. As we wait for NISA's upcoming titles, you can check out the logos for Disgaea 5 and Operation Abyss in the gallery below, along with the limited edition goodies for Fate Ultimatum.
