Rejoice, SaGa fans: The Legend of Legacy heads to the Americas

It's time for a legendary announcement

If you're craving for a new entry in the SaGa series, then your hunger shall be slain by Atlus' acquisition of The Legend of Legacy, a 3DS game by FuRyu (Unchained Blades) that happens to be a spiritual sequel to Square's classic franchise. In fact, the title has Character Designer Tomomi Kobayashi (the SaGa series' Character Illustration), Composer Masashi Hamauzu (SaGa Frontier 2's Music), and Game Designer Kyoji Koizumi (SaGa Frontier 1 and 2's Game Designer). On top of that, Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger and Xenogear's Writer) is the Writer and Masataka Matsuura, a former Level-5 employee, is the title's Director.

Judging from the people involved with The Legend of Legacy, it looks like Atlus chose a solid title to bring over to the Americas. While I haven't played any of the SaGa titles, the game's Bravely Default-like look and Kato's involvement with the project has made me excited to play this one day.

Luckily, The Legend of Legacy hits stores this Fall, so we won't have to wait too long before we explore Avalon with the game's seven heroes. While we're still on the topic of Atlus, their Website now has a new look.

According to Atlus U.S.A.'s President, Tim Pivnicny, the page's updated design is meant to represent the clean and user-friendly aspects present in the company's titles. The other reason was to turn the domain into a more centralized hub for Atlus' stuff. If anything, this serves as another great sign that the company's upcoming dishes are to die for.
