Right Stuf reveals Turn A Gundam and Please Teacher's release date

Two announcements are better than one

I may be a little behind on this thing, but I thought that this set of announcements were worth mentioning around here. For the first order of business, Right Stuf and Sunrise have announced that Turn A Gundam Part 1 comes out on June 30 as a sub only release. Since the show's first set contains 25 episodes, this means that people'll have to purchase to DVD sets to complete the series, which is a good deal.

While Turn A did a poor job in trying to connect the show with the Universal Century titles and the 90s Gundam shows, the anime's Miyazaki-like setting and the characters' experiences helped turn the series into an enjoyable ride. That said, it's great to hear that more folks'll get to witness the Moonlight Butterfly first hand.

Next up, Nozomi plans to release Please Teacher on June 2, which includes Bang Zoom!'s English dub. Even though I haven't gotten the chance to watch the series, but I enjoyed Waiting in the Summer. Since Please Teacher's Original Character Designer, Taraku Uon, and Writer, Yosuke Kuroda, worked on the anime, I might have to give the title a shot. That, and both shows share a few similar aspects, since they involve a comedic relationship between a high school student and an alien. As we wait for June to arrive, you can check out the covers for Turn A Gundam and Please Teacher in the gallery below.
